Amphitrite, the goddess – queen of the sea, unfurls. So striking in the twilight blue, her curves a sight so lovely in an evening hue.
As a goddess, Amphitrite possesses the natural powers and abilities of an Olympian goddess but also the graceful beauty that represents the sea.
With this Goddess of the sea theme, I want to celebrate woman's inner bond with nature, romance, power, and their role as creators and bringers of life. Inspired by this, the dress displays a beautiful flowing coral that creates a powerful bond with elements of the sea. The body-fitted silhouette dress brings out the slender Goddess’s thirst for romance and life. Finally, the outstanding array of blue golden colours displays the theme of the Golden Legends.

To create a coral-reef-like structure appliqué, I manipulated fabrics such as lame, organdy, and netting fabric, pleated and draped them onto the dress one by one, each with their unique shape and style with the intent to simulate the underwater corals, which are often very different from one another, yet in a single frame paints such a beautiful picture which displays so much diversity, intricacy, and unlikeness in creation.
